Let's face it, we DEPEND on electricity the way sailors depend on lighthouses for their navigation and safety.  For some, power keeps lifesaving medical equipment running. For others, it protects their home from frozen pipes in winter. And when summer hits, a sudden outage can be detrimental to the groceries in the fridge and the ice cream or invaluable moose steaks in the freezer. Many work-from-home jobs are at risk without reliable electricity too. The stakes are high, and the list goes on.
